Twenty-four States lock up more people per capita than the United States of America as a whole.

Sonja Sohn's "The Slow Hustle" answers this question. To paraphrase one of my favorite lines, "He was a good cop, and they did that to him. What chance does someone like me have against the system?"

When the trials involve people with money, it takes 265 Days to determine if a man killed the ex-wife he used to beat and her friend.

Being sequestered for 265 days - is this an argument for trial by virtual jury?

Travis County, TX makes some very good points about serving remotely. 

We do what we have to do.

Except when it comes to voting, which is completely optional. There is only one ballot box per county in Texas. 

Jury Duty is a frustrating process. 

You finally find parking at the courthouse, find out it is not air-conditioned, and now you are expected to weigh the evidence and not just Roman emperor it with a thumbs up or thumbs down upon inspecting the defendant.

Does this sound familiar? It should. It was a political soundbite during BLM. During Occupy Wallstreet. During March for Science. 

Efficiency. If we go virtual, we become more efficient. The defendants who cannot afford bail can essentially be transported from their jail cell to their prison cell. Huzzah.

To paraphrase The Smiths, humans who do the wrong things need to be loved just like everybody else does.

A transportation/scheduling/safety nightmare?

Maybe we should look at bail reform.

Ethan Couch suffered from affluenza.

Ivanka Trump Kushner testified before the January 6th Committee virtually.

A percentage of the world lost its mind.

Ivanka's testimony was not real. 

The Democrats went to extreme lengths to discredit The Donald by creating a CGI of Ivanka, forcing her avatar to speak disgusting disloyal words.
